~けがをした~

2人がテレビを見ていると電話が鳴りました。ニックのお兄さんからでした。電話を切ったかおるは、心配そうな様子をしています。ニックに事情を話すかおるは、お兄さんが「けがをした」と言いたいようですが、、、

「けが」という意味の‘Wound’ですが、この単語は誰かによって負わされた出血のあるけがの事を表し、戦争などで敵から負わされた怪我などによく使われます。一般的な怪我は ‘Injure’を使います。誰のせいでもなく自分で転んでけがをした時などは ‘injured one’s self’をセットで使います。
