「誰々によろしく」は英語ではとてもよく言う。なんて言う？

In this lesson we are going to take a look at how we say 誰々によろしく in English.
今回のレッスンは「誰々にヨロシク」を英語で何と言うのかお伝えします。
As often is the case, the English equivalent is less formal than the Japanese 誰々によろしくお伝え下さい.
日本人が日本語で「誰々によろしくお伝え下さい」や「誰々によろしく」と言うよりも、英語圏の人々のほうがもっと頻繁に言いますし、もっとカジュアルな印象です。
ではどう言うのか見てみましょう。
“Say hello to your mother”
Say hello to your mother. お母さんによろしく
Say hello to your sister. 妹さんによろしく
Say hello to Mark. マークによろしく
Say hello to John ジョンによろしく
Say hello to your mother for me. お母さんに私からよろしくと伝えてね
“Say hello to your mother. Give her my love.”
Now, if you have a close friend and you are also close with your friend’s family, you can use the expression “Give her/him my love”. This just means you think very fondly or kindly of that person. You often say this when you haven’t had contact with your friend’s family for quite some time. In this case, it doesn’t mean that you love them, but rather you are thinking of them and wish them well.
仲の良い友達の家族とも仲が良い場合は、こんな表現を使うこともできます。“Give her/him my love”。この意味はただ、その人に愛情や親しみを感じているということです。これは友達の家族としばらく会っていない時によく使います。この場合、その人を愛しているという意味ではありませんが、ただ友達の家族に元気でいて欲しいと思っているということです。
