Much of becoming an fluent speaker has do to with mindset and a willingness to step out of your comfort zone. You have got to be willing to make mistakes and put into practice what you learn.
When I taught in Japan I found that the students who had the most success were the ones who asked lots of questions and spoke with confidence. They didn’t worry about whether they would make a mistake or if they were going to embarrass themselves. They asked questions and didn’t worry about their level or if there were better speakers in the class.
Learn to love making mistakes.
The beauty of making mistakes is, you have the opportunity to learn. If you make a mistake, your teacher or native speaker friend will correct you. The more mistakes you make the faster your English speaking ability will improve. That’s why you should learn to love making mistakes. you will get to your goal of becoming a fluent speaker faster.
